  • Getting a Dacia hatchbatch car that had done 63kilometers was a joke- I was on Nothern Ireland and the speedo was all in kilometers- try working out that one when you are driving. First time using Firelfy and the last.... #

  • The Localauto representative ( Mr Salvo) charged additional Euro 40 beacause I collected the car at 11:10 pmThe were unable to provide me with a written proof that the office was closed after 11pm ( no sign or indication of the opening time). I had to insist in order to have a copy of the car damages report. This was not initially offered. The day after the rental was sent via email. Locauto is a very bullying car rental company. Overall very bad customer service experience. #

  • Easy location and process to pick up your car. Drop off was also well arranged.
We will certainly rent a car from Argus again.

  • Very good all round experience; Car ready and picked up fairly quickly with a very friendly and helpful guy behind the desk. Very happy with Firefly and would use again. One minor point was that windscreen washers did not work - possibly just out of fluid, but since we did not need them it was of little consequence #

  • Had to wait quite a while to get vehicle and the sales advisor was very pushy trying to sell the collision damage waiver, I had already purchased this on line when I paid for the rental agreement, he said that the one I had purchased was not sufficient, he told me to ring up and cancel it. I asked him to call and spoke to someone who advised me the only difference was that I would have to pay upfront if I had a accident, and then claim it back. When I returned my call, the same agent was getting someone else to ring up and cancel it. #

  • the car hire was through a company called Firefly and we didn't know this we thought it was through Auto Europe who we have hired cars from on many occasions. The car was missing 2 wheel trims and wasn't valeted inside and was generally grubby. The door handle was damaged with exposed metal which I cut my finger on. The car looks like it was a hire car from a larger company who sold them on when past their best......the difference in price between this and the next car was only a few pounds and therefore was not good value considering the condition of the car. I wouldn't hire again from Firefly. Also Firefly held £1500 on my credit card for the car in case of damage and also £152 for fuel...therefore if your credit card doesn't have this limit available they won't let you take the car....or else charge you an exorbitant rate for a second driver who does have a card with a high limit. Definitely wouldn't hire from them again #

  • No problems with our car hire experience in terms of the vehicle or the staff service.

One thing I would like to remark on is the policy of charging for a full tank of fuel regardless of how much is left in the tank on return.. there is no rational explanation for this policy other than to blatantly overcharge customers for fuel. It's an all too common practice in Europe and needs to be dealt with.

  • The car from Firefly at Pisa Airport was old and faulty. Still waiting to hear from their customer services (three emails not responded to) re a 130 euro refund to pay for taxi to get back to airport to pick up a replacement car. Their fuel policy ie full to empty also unfair - charged top whack for full tank when only used half tank. #
