  • picked car up from airport very easy nice fella (pierre) up graded me free of charge to a larger car..Only one fault no one there to take keys after rental had to post them through a letter box after waiting 15mins, no one there to check car over and to tell me everything was fine and that there would be no charges #

  • Whilst the car was fine and I received and returned it without any problems, the car was not initially ready (I was pressed to accept an automatic when I had ordered a manual) and neither was the paperwork. The whole point of pre-booking on-line was to ensure that everything was ready yet I waited around half an hour before getting my car, despite being second in the queue. #

  • Easy to book-all information was clearly presented. The cost of the car was in line with other providers but more than double the combined cost of the return flights for the two of us. Although we would have liked both of us to be able to drive, we did not pay for an extra driver, as this would have further increased the cost.
    It was busy at the car rental desk so we had to wait but car was ready and all procedures dealt with quickly and pleasantly.

  • What was a pleasant surprise was that I'd had a couple of reservations cancelled previously because the car hire firms said that the 7 seater car I needed was unavailable, hence I was worried I may have trouble with the reservation upon arrival. The car was there ready to go and was in excellent condition. We only spent a couple of minutes checking the car over with the company rep and we were on our way. Was very happy with the service he provided. #

  • The whole process was faultless! The service at the hire desk could not have been better, and the young man who served us was so helpful, even brought the car round for us when he saw how much luggage we had.
    I suspect the key here was collecting the car from rthe train station rather than the more frenzied location of an airport!

  • Car was ready and in good condition. Only "gripe" was no one at desk when car returned at end of holiday and, as I could not find a local petrol sttation, the charge for topping up was excessive. If someone had been there I had time to be directed to local station. #

  • No problems once I found the desk (in France but you land in Switzerland.) Could have done with a map provided and better instructions on the best way to navigate onto the French motorways South. I put the wrong fuel in on return and 'fessed up. They took 850 euro from my credit card and said they will credit the balance once the work was done (drain and refuel?). Still nervously waiting nearly 2 weeks later. School boy error but they might have mentioned it was a diesel at the start. #

  • There was quite a long queue and it took on average about 10 minutes to deal with each customer. All the other car rental company desks were practically empty. Quality of car was good and staff were very polite and helpful with a great knowledge of English. #

  • The car was ready when we arrived and the car hire rep was very helpful. Unfortunately the car had not been washed and was very dirty - it made it difficult to tell what were stone chips and was were bits of dirt. The windscreen washer bottle was also empty - something we only found out once we had driven away. However, the car (a Hyundai) was a pleasure to drive. #

  • On arrival at nimes airport CITER desk, we upgraded when we Saw what car was being offered. We then was told the upgrade was not ready and needed cleaning so we waited about 45 minutes for the car to be poorly cleaned.
    We was told there was no damage on it and when we saw it we had to go back to the desk and ask the receptionist to come and see the car to point out several marks and scratches on the bodywork of which she did reluctantly and was quite abrupt in her manner as Hugh she was being disbelieved and put out. There was a Continuous oil warning light showing on the dashboard and maintenance warning adivaice light appeared on starting the car and warning advice on display stating in french about excessive oil needs servicing and when queried with CITER was told that the car is ok and he light on this car is always on, I checked the oil stick and the oil was over filled. After leaving We noticed also on the paperwork that all was signed as ok, and we found we did not have the required stated breathalyser kit on board. Overall poor customer service. Will not use CITER again.

    The desk were extremely helpful and advised us of an upgrade to our vehicle. We were given a Renault Clio diesel estate with sat nav, all of which was very helpful. However, the sat nav was not straight forward to set up as we could not locate the language selector and the member of staff in the parking area did not have a clue either. In fact they thought we had not paid for the sat nav and therefore it was not available. With the help of a member of a younger member of the party we got the sat nav working and it was excellent.

    All in all the car was new, clean and efficient and the return process very straight forward. Hence the high rating.

  • The company citre were rubbish,ive never had a car in such bad condition. The car was very dirty,the front bumper was hanging off,the rear light was smashed in,and had scraches all over the front.Also the man at the desk who gave us the keys etc had a very bad attitude and was very unhelpful,never again!! #

  • Hire car rep was very helpful. However the car was damaged and it was either take it, or no car. so for a wek we had a car without a wing mirror which whilst not a critical defect, meant that added care was needed. #

  • Car ready. Agent dealt with hire documentation promptly. Vehicle in OK condition .. not all blemishes marked on the vehicle description so difficult to assess and vehicle had a bit of a diesel type smell.
    Otherwise fine.
