The M77 road link means that Glasgow city centre is only a 32 mile drive on motorway and "A" class dual carriageway from Glasgow Prestwick International. To get to Prestwick Airport from Glasgow (Edinburgh and North) go west on M8, south on M77, A77, A78, A79. From Dumfries (Carlisle and the South) go north on A76 (A74), A70, A77, North on A78, South A79. From Girvan and Stranraer go north on A77, A78, south on A79.
