Gatwick Airport Guide
Gatwick Airport is 28 miles south of London, directly linked to the M23 at Junction 9 and to the A23 London-Brighton road. It is the UK's second busiest airport. Gatwick handles charter airlines which do not operate at Heathrow. It has two terminals know as the ?North Terminal' and ?South Terminal'.
When you get to Gatwick Airport, don't miss out on one of the airport's best kept secrets. Shopping Collection is a totally free service for passengers travelling within the EU. Perfect for stocking-up on great airport shopping without becoming laden down.
There is a wide variety of restaurants, cafes and bars from Burger King to the Caviar House. You'll find every shop under the sun at Gatwick Airport, just like a city within a city. Gatwick caters extremely well for the disabled, not least with free help that can be found on terminal forecourts, short stay car parks, stations, baggage reclaim halls and on some routes within the terminals where there are long walking distances.
The help points include a map showing your location and a telephone, in order for assistance to be requested. Assistance is free to those with special needs and you can request wheelchair push/provision or help with baggage in order to reach check in.
