Dalaman Airport is about 3 miles south from Dalaman itself. Getting to the airport by car is easy whether you arrive from the east or the west. From either direction, follow the D400 motorway and exit towards the south on route 5, which goes to Dalaman and the airport. There are signs to Dalaman Airport from the motorway. Unfortunately there is no public transport from the airport, you will need to rely on taxis or car hire.

Dalaman Airport has had a recent renovation, so the facilities are pretty good. There is a large shopping centre ? the Grand Bazaar ? where you can find a lot of different Turkish produce, from carpets and jewellery to food and handicrafts. There are also plenty of restaurants and fast-food outlets with a good range of Turkish and other dishes and snacks on offer in the terminal's food court.

Other facilities at Dalaman Airport include bank, bureau de change, post office, an emergency medical clinic, a small mosque, synagogue and chapel available for prayers as well as a game room featuring various computer games.

For the travelling business person there is a lounge on hand offering Wi-Fi Internet access.
