Tenerife South Airport ? also known as Reina Sofia - is the largest of the two airports on the island as it is the one that handles international flights. Tenerife South Airport is 60 kilometres from Santa Cruz and is easily accessible from the TF-1.

Parking is quite easy at Tenerife South Airport as there are spaces for 1,000 vehicles. However public transport on the island is quite good and buses depart from the airport on three different routes every 20 minutes or so. Taxis are also readily available outside of arrivals and a taxi ride to Santa Cruz will take about an hour.

Tenerife South Airport has good facilities and there are plenty of shops and cafes to browse through. You can pick up some good quality leather goods from Zona Zero situated in the departures hall. Other facilities at Tenerife South Airport include a bank, ATM points, a post office, a chapel and a pharmacy. There is also a VIP lounge on the second floor of departures, which can be adapted for meetings and conferences for the travelling business person. Tenerife South Airport have also taken pains to take care of their less abled passengers by providing low level telephones and toilet facilities.
