Ibiza Airport Guide
Ibiza Airport is situated less than 8 kilometres from the town of Ibiza and is within easy reach of all the major tourists resorts. It is the main airport for visitors to the Balearics, and as such is continually being improved and updated to cater for the influx of visitors.
Ibiza Airport is one of the Island's largest employers and currently, between 8 and 10 per cent of Ibiza's population make a living directly or indirectly from the activities undertaken in the airport grounds. Over 4.6 million passengers and 57,853 flights passed through the airport in 2007, and many more are expected in the next few years.
At Ibiza Airport there are several trendy shops and eateries including Bijoux Terner, which stocks top brand names in sunglasses and accessories and the Music Network, which deals in music and electronics. For repast there is a bar called Medas Beer as well as three other cafeterias, all serving hot and cold food and drink. Remember to stock up on the delicious local liqueur, Hierbas Ibicencas.
For your financial needs at Ibiza Airport, facilities include ATMs, bureau de change and a bank. There is also a post office in the Arrivals area.
