Almería Airport is located about 10 kilometres east of the city centre at the end of the AL-12 dual carriage way. There is also signed access from the 'Autovia del Mediterranoe' A7 that passes a few kilometres inland. Public transport-wise, there are local buses that link the airport with the city centre train and bus station. There are buses every half hour in the day and every three quarters of an hour in the evening.

Almería Airport is clean, modern and ascetically pleasing to the eye. It has all the basic amenities a travelling passenger needs, including a few shops and eateries, an ATM point and two information centres. There is also a lovely observation terrace where there is a great view of the runway.
