Limoges Airport Guide
Limoges Airport, also known as Aéroport de Limoges Bellegarde or Aéroport International de Limoges, is located in the Haute Vienne department (87), Limousin region of France.
Limoges Airport is just 15 minutes from the city of Limoges and 5 minutes from the A20 Autoroute. The airport is compact but modern with good basic facilities.
Once at Limoges Airport, you will find that the airport terminal is fairly small and both arrivals and departures are handled there. But recent improvements to the facilities at Limoges Airport now means that it has an ATM point for your cash needs and it is also a Wi-Fi hotspot. Construction of lift and toilets facilities for disabled passengers has now been completed, to comply with regulations.

"A very easy hire: it was convenient that the receptionist was English although I am sure a French one would have been just as efficient and personable. All instructions were clear and the car was fine. Paperwork completed within five minutes and I was on my way in ten. In a nutshell, good value and I'll certainly consider using Hertz again."

"The car was available to pick up and was the right size for us. However when I booked I was told I had an additional young person driver included which I was told by hertz at pick up this was not true, meaning we had one less driver than planned. Also on returning to the UK I received an invoice for an extra ?103. On ringing hertz customer services I was told this was a billing error and that it will be refunded within 3-5 working days. However hertz have already taken my money. Although I understand there is certain administrative time to refund my account, I still feel it is unacceptable to have happened in the first place, leaving me without money in my account until it is sorted out."

"Rented this car after my own broke down in the Dordogne. As this was mid july everthing local was already out. More expensive than I was used to but as it was peak holiday season probably not unreasonable. Easy to use service it was fortunate I had internet facilities so it was extremely easy to book. Car was new, spotlessly clean and formalities were very simple"

"The Car Hire 3000 service was easy to use online, but the telephone service was also excellent. We had to change our booking just 24 hours before it was due to start, and this was done with ease and at no additional cost. The car was great, and the company, Eurocar, easy to deal with. My only quibble is that I requested a manual but received an automatic. That aside, we had a very good experience and would use the service again. "

"The car was ready for collection on our arrival and in good condition. However, the petrol station we were told to fill up at near the airport was closed on our return as it was a Sunday Morning. This has resulted in extra charges for refueling the car, which we had not budgeted for. On our arrival at the airport to hand the car back, the desk was not manned ane we just had to post our car keys through a letter box. As we were unable to refuel as requested it would have been helpful if someone had been there for us to explain the situation to and perhaps have avoided the extra cost of refueling. I am sure that the company would have know that this petrol station would be closed on the Sunday. "

"the hire process was straightforward with existing damage to the car made clear through a diagram attached to the hire condition form. my only real critism was an obligatory post hire check of the vehicle. if the car had been damaged in the "drop off" car park, for example, by someone else prior to Alamo checking for the next customer then contesting any insurance claim against me would have been impossible. This obviously applies to ALL hire companies and should not rely on the hirer asking for a pre and post check, it should be obligatory. Regards "

"Very smooth operation at the Limoges airport end (maybe because this was out of season being November). Short queue (which can sometimes be a problem here), quick dealing with paperwork, no undue pressure to buy additional insurance and the car was fine. It is worth checking for any marks or scratches not shown on the hire documentation and preferably taking a photo or two as evidence (there were no such problems for us this time however)."

"As I have used Eurocar before at Limoges Airport, the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The only thing I would say could be improved and I have said this before is -- they know which flight is arriving as it is on the booking but when you arrive you have to take your luggage and go and find the car by it,s registration on a car park over 200mtr,s away. Then come back if there is any problems (which this time there was). There were quite a few scratches on body and wheels and the tank was not full --all of which I reported. The point is -- why can the vehicle not be outside so that it can be checked and returned to same? Certainly poor if it is raining. I am using the airport again at the end of February, but I doubt anything will change!"

"Received a Hyundai IX35 as my vehicle. The car was ready and in good condition. However, the storage space is limited - much less than in our own i30 SW, and the seats not particularly comfortable. The car is extremely unstable in cross-winds on motorways. It may be acceptable in cities, but after driving home down the coast, my arms and shoulders were aching with the effort of trying to keep the car in a straight line. This was never a problem with the previous model we hired, the Tucson. Perhaps the 4x4 version is better as it's likely to be heavier. I would think that a family of 3 or 4 would struggle with luggage space."
