Chambery Airport Guide
Chambery Airport is locally known as the Gateway to the French Alps. Chambery Airport is located in the town of Viviers-du-Lac, 3.5 miles/6 kilometres south of Aix-les-Bains and 5 miles/8 kilometres north of Chambery. Chambery Airport is just off the A41 Autoroute Exit 13 - Chambery Nord. After exiting the Autoroute follow the airport signs.
Chambery Airport is small, but modern and the explosion of tourists in the last few years means that Chambery Airport has more facilities than other airports of comparative size. There is free car parking for up to 300 vehicles and once inside Chambery Airport there is a wonderful bar/restaurant with a magnificent view of both the runway and the Alps. The information desk at Chambery Airport is open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 9pm Saturday and Sunday. This is located in the terminal building along with the shop, which sells regional produce. The Duty Free shop is located in the departure lounge.
Chambery Airport also has a post box, ATM, toilets and telephones.
