Europcar Forecasts Car Rental Market Growth

Europcar today announced its 2007 results which show an increase in revenues of 32.6% on 2006. Europcar, which is Europe's largest car hire operator, said that fuel price increases, parking, maintenance charges and city congestion charges would make a rental an attractive alternative to ownership.
Salvatore Catania, Europcar Managing Director also forecast that the car hire market in Europe is to grow between 2.5% and 3% in 2008 as demand for car hire increases.
